The “Hanging Moon Variety Show” Li Mutai special aired yesterday afternoon.

At 2:00 p.m. on September 16, the “Gua Yue Variety Show” — a special episode dedicated to Limutai — was officially recorded in front of the ticket office at the Limutai Scenic Area. Throughout the program, which featured lively performances such as clapper‑talk, Tai Chi, singing, dancing, and traditional opera, the host interwove introductions to the scenic area as a whole and its key attractions, allowing viewers to deepen their appreciation of Limutai’s natural beauty while enjoying the entertaining acts. The show also included a Q&A segment with prizes: visitors who answered questions related to the Limutai Scenic Area correctly received gifts. In addition, an interactive activity was organized, drawing six participants from Ninghe, Xiqing, Dongli, and Jixian counties in Tianjin. The challenge was for each contestant to scoop out five baskets filled with local mountain produce—walnuts, chestnuts, pears, hawthorns, and jujubes—and determine whose total weight came closest to one kilogram within 30 seconds. Ultimately, a young woman from Ninghe won with a total of 0.982 kilograms and claimed her prize. The event drew enthusiastic responses from the audience, generating positive publicity and a strong social impact.
