Low-Carbon and Environmental Protection Initiative Letter
Dear citizens:
Global warming has increasingly become a grave threat to human survival. Frequent extreme weather events—such as debris flows, severe storms and blizzards, rising sea levels, retreating glaciers, floods, and droughts—pose an enormous danger to humanity. Under the same blue sky and on the same planet, each of us bears the responsibility to protect the environment and save our Earth. To this end, the Limutai Scenic Area is calling on citizens to “join hands in energy conservation and low carbon living, and work together to build clear waters and blue skies,” encouraging everyone to embrace a low‑carbon mindset and create a greener home. Starting now:
1. Purchase products with simple packaging, choose green products and eco-friendly foods, and promote green consumption.
2. Use fewer single-use products (such as wooden chopsticks, paper cups, and paper towels) to reduce waste, sort your trash, and recycle resources.
3. Use energy-efficient appliances, and turn off all electrical devices completely after use to conserve electricity; use air conditioning in moderation.
4. Ride your bike more and take the bus more often to help conserve energy and reduce emissions.
5. Get close to nature, participate in tree-planting and afforestation activities, adopt (or sponsor the planting of) a tree, and entrust your aspirations to it, planting your hopes and dreams.
6. Show care and concern for green life, protect the landscaping around us, and actively promote “planting greenery, safeguarding green spaces, cherishing nature, and fostering environmental sustainability” initiatives. Let’s strive to be ambassadors of green civilization, ensuring that our home boasts bluer skies, clearer waters, and greener lands.
7. Let us join hands to foster a positive environment in which everyone understands, values, and actively participates in environmental protection. Let us each do our part to ensure that everyone has access to clean water, fresh air, safe food, and a healthy, joyful life!
