The 24th China–Tianjin Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival, hosted by the Tianjin Municipal Tourism Bureau and the Jixian County People’s Government and organized by the Publicity Department of the Jixian County Party Committee and the Jixian County Tourism Bureau, will open with great fanfare on September 22 at the Limutai Scenic Area. This year’s festival will run for one month, concluding on October 22.
Jixian County, historically known as Yuyang, boasts a profound cultural heritage and abundant tourism resources. It seamlessly blends majestic mountains, picturesque waters, ancient temples, imposing passes, intriguing rock formations, and secluded forests, earning it the United Nations–recognized title of “Millennial Ancient County” and the distinction of being a historic and cultural city in Tianjin. It is also widely acclaimed as the “Backyard Garden of Beijing and Tianjin.”
Every year in the golden autumn, the land of Yuyang basks in crisp, clear weather, with hazel hues and fiery red maples, and the sweet fragrance of countless fruits filling the air. It is amid this intoxicating autumn scenery that the annual Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival unfolds its enchanting splendor, welcoming visitors from all corners of the country.
This year’s Tourism Festival will be guided by the principles of “innovation, frugality, pragmatism, and win-win cooperation,” with a strong focus on integrating and promoting tourism products from Jixian County. It will feature 16 exciting and diverse events, including: The Grand Opening Ceremony at Limutai ; Activities showcasing the most picturesque autumn scenery of Jixian County, including red-leaf viewing tours, joyful autumn excursions, festive autumn banquets, and autumn fruit-picking outings. ; Events such as the Yuyang Chrysanthemum Exhibition, the Red Leaves Festival, the Electronic Music Festival, and the Jizhou Gift Promotion Fair showcase the city’s spirit and character. ; Mountain and outdoor sports events, including fitness, leisure, and entertainment‑themed activities such as the Mountain Sports Festival, the International Trail Challenge, and the Great Wall Trail Run. Rich in content, diverse in form, and dazzling in variety, it will offer visitors a brand-new travel experience.
9 Themed Activity
Item 1: Opening Ceremony of the 24th China·Tianjin Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival and the Naming Ceremony for “Jizhou Gift” at the “Rural Home” Pavilion

Main content: Under the theme “Jizhou Gifts,” an opening ceremony will be held, inviting representatives from relevant municipal departments and county leaders to attend. Key officials from the tourism authorities of the cities and counties within the JD.com Leisure Tourism Demonstration Zone, as well as representatives from leading tourism enterprises, a press tour group from the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, and heads of travel agencies will also participate. In addition, a promotional event for “Jizhou Gifts” will be organized.
Item 2: “Rural Home” – Promotion Event for the 24th China·Tianjin Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival

In addition, a promotional event was held for the 24th China–Tianjin Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival, themed “Home of the Countryside,” highlighting the festival’s highlights as well as Jizhou’s signature autumn and winter attractions and events.

Item 5: 2016 Tianjin Mountain Sports Games and the Second Limutai Hiking and Mountaineering Convention

Event Highlights: Under the theme “I Exercise, I Stay Healthy, I Am Happy,” this event is co‑organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau. It brings together hiking enthusiasts from the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region to the Limutai Scenic Area for a mountain‑climbing competition. Six events are scheduled, including family teams, mixed‑gender teams, an off‑road cycling exhibition, and individual and team cross‑country races for men and women. This outdoor sports festival is not only a grand gathering for residents across the three regions to enjoy outdoor fitness but also a valuable initiative to foster coordinated sports collaboration among Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. Participants and spectators alike can celebrate the occasion and savor the golden autumn at Limutai, soaking in the vibrant mountain scenery and relishing the joy of physical activity.
Item 6: Jinqiu Picking Festival in Maxinqiao Town

Item 7: Xijingyu Golden Autumn Feast of Prosperity

Main highlights: The event showcases authentic rural cuisine, fresh and abundant mountain produce, and captivating traditional performances, creating the inaugural Golden Autumn Qingfeng Feast. Centered around a flowing banquet and a mountain‑produce market, it features folk‑art performances, food‑tasting competitions, charitable donations, and other engaging activities, with a marketplace offering local goods, opportunities to savor the feast, live folk shows, and culinary contests.
In addition, scenic areas such as Baxianshan and Jiulongshan will also host events like the Red Leaf Viewing Festival.
The Yuyang Golden Autumn Tourism Festival is a nationally recognized flagship tourism event and a signature brand of Tianjin.
