Recently, at the Wuzhifeng area of the Limutai Scenic Area in Jizhou District, Tianjin, the flowers of the Chinese tallow tree—a nationally protected plant of Grade II—have burst into bloom, adorning the trees in a dazzling white that resembles frost and snow, creating a picturesque scene.

According to reports, the Chinese fringe tree, a nationally protected plant of Grade II, is extremely rare in Tianjin. To date, only 12 wild individuals have been recorded in Jizhou District: nine in the Limutai Scenic Area, two in the Jiulongshan National Forest Park, and one in Sandaoling Village, Luozhuangzi Town.
