The North Second Line of the Jinwei Road has been closed to traffic. For travel to and from Limutai, please use the Jinwei Highway. Due to recent days of heavy rainfall, pavement subsidence has occurred at K14+050 on the North Second Line of the Jinwei Road (near Sandaoling Bridge), posing a safety hazard. To prevent secondary disasters, following deliberation by the district government, it has been decided that, starting August 3, certain sections of the North Second Line will be closed to traffic. Visitors heading to the Limutai Scenic Area—whether traveling by bus or car—are advised, after exiting the Jinji Expressway, to follow navigation onto the Jinwei Highway and then transfer to the Maying Highway for direct access to the scenic area.

Limei Terrace has recently added a new Birdsong Forest, offering plenty of fun activities for birdwatching and interacting with birds. Recently, Limei Terrace has gained another exciting attraction. Now you no longer have to feel frustrated when birds in the mountains and forests fly away at the sight of humans—because we’ve got the Birdsong Forest Parrot Park. Here, you can fully enjoy birdwatching, play with the birds, and even listen to their “songs.” You can also buy birdseed to feed them, allowing for an intimate connection with these little creatures. The Birdsong Forest Parrot Park is located in the Jiuzhai Cave Heaven’s Lover’s Valley within Limei Terrace, covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters. Inside the forest, more than 50 species are freely roaming, including peacocks, cockatiels, larks, warblers, jade birds, finches, as well as red‑eyed squirrels, golden squirrels, dormice, and five‑striped mice. Over 200 trained parrots roam the woods, happily playing and posing for photos with visitors. You can even hand‑feed the birds yourself: hold some birdseed in your palm, and soon little birds will flutter around your hands and feet, adorably pecking at the grains and nodding their heads like little sesame seeds. When the birds are enjoying their meal, their tiny bodies may accidentally brush against your palm—soft, fluffy, and incredibly comforting! The Birdsong Forest also features numerous educational signs about different bird species, so while parents enjoy watching their children marvel at the avian world, they can take the opportunity to learn something new too!

Legend has it that Limutai is home to a magical forest, where ancient trees tower skyward, mist drifts lazily through the air, and streams murmur softly. If a young wizard can pass each challenge and reach the castle deep within the woods, they’ll earn a shimmering medal—a true test of courage and wisdom, and a delightful surprise Limutai has in store for its young visitors this summer! From July 20 to August 31, 2018, the first 200 children entering the scenic area each day will receive a magic passport. This passport features six magical quests; upon completing each one, our forest wizards will stamp it with a通关 seal. Collect three seals, and you’ll receive a Limutai Magic Medal. The more stamps you gather, the greater your rewards! Additionally, the first 100 children to enter will also receive a cool magic hat. Activity One: Become a Forest Wizard Dates: Saturdays and Sundays, July 20–August 31, 2018 Location: Within the Limutai Scenic Area As layers of mist lift, the forest’s magical energy begins to awaken. Activity Two: Little Magic Judge Dates: July 20–August 31, 2018 Location: Ecological Culture Education Base Limutai’s enchanted forest draws countless children eager to explore. Some treat the forest kindly, while others may unintentionally harm it. This time, step into the role of a little judge, using your magical powers to protect and preserve the forest. Activity Three: Hunt for Magical Herbs Dates: July 20–August 31, 2018 Location: Within the Limutai Scenic Area Hidden deep in the mountains and dense forests of Limutai grow countless magical herbs, quietly releasing their wondrous scents. Find just three of these herbs, and you’ll feel refreshed and revitalized after a long journey. Activity Four: Collect Magical Stones Dates: July 20–August 31, 2018 Location: Within the Limutai Scenic Area Beyond the mountains and across the sea lives a group of tiny sprites. One day, they transformed themselves into sparkling magical stones and hid them throughout Limutai’s woodlands. Collect four of these glowing stones, and you’ll awaken your inner magic. In addition to these four challenges, we’ve set up several magical training stations throughout the forest, where young wizards can freely practice their spells and make their journey truly magical. Unveil the Magic Scroll Dates: July 20–August 31, 2018 Location: Along the trail below Jiangjun Tan Scenic Spot Deep in the forest, a magical scroll slowly unfurls, its every line bearing mysterious clues left behind by past wizards. Recently, Ma Ying Road has been closed for construction. Visitors traveling to the scenic area are advised to take alternative routes. From May 17 to September 30, Ma Ying Road in Jizhou District (from the intersection of Jinwei North Second Line and Ma Ying Road eastward to Limutai Scenic Area) will be closed to traffic. Visitors heading to Limutai Scenic Area should take the Xibang Line, then turn onto Dongling Road, and make a left at the Sunggezhuang intersection to reach the scenic area directly.
