The Limutai Bike‑Run‑Climb Race Sets the Mountains Ablaze! On December 23, the inaugural Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Mountain Outdoor Sports Festival and the 8th Tianjin Mountain Sports Games—featuring a bike‑run‑climb competition—were successfully held at the Limutai Scenic Area. The day was clear and bright, with a vivid blue sky and warm winter sunshine bathing the valleys and peaks, inspiring participants to hit the trails. Hundreds of professional cyclists took part in an exhilarating bike‑run‑climb race through Limutai’s rugged mountains and forests. The event unfolded in two stages: competitors first cycled from the scenic area’s visitor center to the cable car station, then parked their mountain bikes and hiked up to the summit of Limutai—the Qifu Peak. The entire course spanned 10.5 kilometers. The winner crossed the finish line in 46 minutes and 45 seconds. With all participants in high spirits, the race offered plenty of exciting moments throughout. Prizes were awarded to the top 12 finishers: the first three received 1,000 yuan each, while those ranked fourth through twelfth earned 800 yuan. The organizing committee presented cash awards and medals on-site to the winners. Hosted by the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau and the Jizhou District People’s Government, the inaugural Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Mountain Outdoor Sports Festival aimed to showcase Tianjin’s mountain outdoor sports offerings, foster a vibrant atmosphere for such activities, build a signature brand for mass fitness events, and promote the integrated development of sports and tourism.
