Unlock new summer adventures! Forest trekking Amidst Limutai’s towering peaks and deep canyons lies a typical northern Chinese primeval secondary forest ecosystem, boasting over 90% forest coverage. Known as “Tianjin’s Shennongjia” and the “Tropical Rainforest of the North,” this area features an extraordinary array of plant communities—towering trees, dense shrubs, low-lying herbs, and tiny lichens—all forming a mysterious botanical kingdom that releases abundant negative oxygen ions, reaching 1,000–10,000 ions per cubic centimeter—far exceeding the World Health Organization’s standards for clean air. In midsummer, step into this vast, enigmatic primeval forest: lush greenery everywhere, cool and refreshing. With every breath, your chest feels cleansed and your lungs revitalized. You’ll feel as if you’ve transformed into a squirrel darting through the woods or a bird perched atop a tree branch—joyful, carefree, and utterly at ease. Water play in the forest Limutai boasts the only living-water scenery in Jizhou District. During summer and autumn, abundant natural water resources give rise to numerous mountain springs, whose clear streams flow together to form sparkling pools and cascading streams. These dynamic water features, varying in height and movement, dot the deep mountain forests. The Nine‑Needle Waterfall hangs like a silver curtain from the heavens; the Huangla Waterfall resembles a white ribbon streaking diagonally down the cliffside. The Three Pools Reflecting the Moon and the Fairy Bathing Pool dazzle with unparalleled beauty. With countless ways to play, you’ll experience water activities like never before. Geological exploration Limutai is part of the Jizhou National Geopark, featuring quartzite peak‑forest and canyon landforms. It contains a world‑renowned geological section of the Mesoproterozoic Era. Over long periods of geological evolution, tectonic changes, and weathering, the area has formed dramatic canyons, majestic peak forests, and countless uniquely shaped rocks and mountains. Entering Limutai is like opening a “Stone Chronicle” inscribed by time itself—each page exudes legendary charm, leaving an unforgettable impression on all who read it. Here you’ll find ancient stones dating back roughly 2.6 to 3.5 billion years, a “longevity stone” recording 1.8 billion years of crustal movements, a “heavenly scroll” chronicling Earth’s history, intricately carved “peak‑forest rock art ridges,” sky‑piercing “heaven‑reaching fissures,” mythical “Five‑Finger Mountain,” and even a “stone sea” concealing secrets about the theft of Qing Eastern Tombs treasures... This place is not only an ideal destination for exploring hidden wonders but also a transcendent sage, helping you dispel inner clouds and return to the purity of your heart. Nostalgia along the Great Wall Limutai preserves Tianjin’s oldest Northern Qi Dynasty Great Wall ruins, dating back more than 1,400 years. Stretching 5,600 meters, the wall winds gracefully along ridgelines ranging from 500 to 900 meters above sea level. Entirely constructed of rough-hewn stones, it follows the contours of the mountains, steep and perilous yet awe‑inspiring. Climb onto the wild sections of the Great Wall, trace the dust of ancient battles, gaze out across millennia of vast landscapes, and marvel at the heroic spirit of those who once stood here. This unique adventure offers a fresh perspective on history and exploration. Red memories Limutai was a vital component of the Jidong Anti-Japanese Base Area. In the modern era, it has become a patriotic education site. Within the scenic area, remnants such as Dazhang Cave and a field hospital remain, alongside monuments commemorating the war years. Last year, a permanent exhibition hall titled “Historical Memories, Red Monuments” was established. Here, visitors can revisit revolutionary history, experiencing those turbulent times through text, photographs, and videos. They can learn from the indomitable spirit of revolutionary martyrs, carry forward revolutionary traditions, and prepare themselves to become worthy successors of the revolution. On these scorching summer days, nothing could be sweeter than this. Let’s meet at Limutai and enjoy a truly exhilarating journey!

“Celebrate July 1st, Raise the Banner, Set an Example” — The Limutai Party Branch Organizes a Themed Party Day Activity On the morning of July 1, as China enthusiastically celebrated the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Comrade Nan Xiaodong, Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee and Chairman, visited the Limutai Party Branch to deliver a themed party lecture, extend condolences to party members facing difficulties, and participate in the branch’s “Celebrate July 1st, Raise the Banner, Set an Example” campaign—a large-scale urban–rural environmental improvement initiative involving ten thousand party members. Together with the branch’s cadres and party members, he helped clean up the scenic area’s environment. At 9:00 a.m., Comrade Nan Xiaodong, Secretary of the Tourism Group’s Party Committee, entered the Limutai Party Branch to deliver a thematic lecture titled “How to Understand the Original Aspiration and Mission of CPC Members in the New Era.” During the session, Secretary Nan analyzed the current tourism landscape, drawing on his firsthand experience working at the township level and the broader context of the tourism group’s reform efforts to provide a practical, real-world perspective. He urged the branch’s cadres and party members to remain true to their original aspirations, courageously shoulder their missions, and take proactive action. While explaining the advantages of overarching policies, Comrade Nan also highlighted the significant opportunities facing the Limutai Scenic Area, breaking away from conventional classroom formats to engage in open dialogue with company cadres and party members. Together, they discussed the scenic area’s future development direction and the importance of maintaining an eco‑friendly, green growth strategy. Branch cadres actively offered candid suggestions, voicing their hopes and expectations for the scenic area’s development, thus achieving the intended goals of liberating minds and grounding discussions in practical realities. After the lecture, Comrade Nan Xiaodong paid a visit to Party member He Yuzhu, who is facing hardships, inquiring about his current health and family situation and conveying the Party organization’s care and concern. Following the lecture, Comrade Nan Xiaodong took the initiative to join the branch’s party members as an ordinary party member in the “Celebrate July 1st, Raise the Banner, Set an Example—Ten Thousand Party Members’ Urban–Rural Environmental Cleanup Campaign.” They conducted a thorough, comprehensive cleanup of areas where the scenic area borders nearby villages, addressing numerous neglected sanitation dead spots that had previously fallen through the cracks. During the activity, Comrade Nan Xiaodong emphasized that the scenic area must further intensify its environmental improvement efforts. In line with the objectives and tasks of the “Hundred-Day Campaign,” he called for establishing a regularized mechanism to enhance both the environmental quality and service standards of the tourist destination, thereby creating a comfortable, clean, and civilized tourism environment and contributing to the building of a beautiful Jizhou.
