On October 19, the launch ceremony of the Tianjin Branch of “Bailühui,” a national tourism service brand for middle-aged and senior travelers under the theme “Live to 100, Travel the World,” was held at Zhongguancun e‑Valley (Nankai) Creative World. During the event, the establishment of the “Bailühui Tianjin Branch” — a membership club dedicated to middle-aged and senior travelers — was announced, and the preliminary auditions for the first China Middle‑Aged and Senior Tourism Spring Festival Gala in the Tianjin region were officially kicked off. This initiative not only represents a major strategic move by Tongcheng Travel in response to the leisure travel market but also marks another significant step in the company’s efforts to expand its presence in Tianjin.

According to the latest statistics released by the Tianjin Municipal Aging Affairs Office, as of the end of 2015, the number of registered residents aged 60 and above in Tianjin had reached 2.3037 million, accounting for 22.43% of the city’s total registered population. This means that roughly one in five residents is an older adult. The city’s level of population aging exceeds the national average, placing it third nationwide after Shanghai and Beijing.
“How to make life more meaningful for seniors is a concern and priority for the entire society.
