The water-gun battle at Limutai has begun—bringing you a cool summer vacation!

2016-07-29

The water-gun battle at Limutai has begun, bringing you a cool summer vacation. People often say that nature is children’s best teacher; in fact, nature is not only a teacher but also an excellent playmate. In days when there weren’t many amusement facilities or fancy toys, the games and running through mountains and fields created joyful childhoods for countless people. In the cool mountain forests, a mysterious aura lingers. The fourth season of the Limutai Leisure and Summer‑Escape Experience is about to kick off, offering four summer activities that combine fun with education, letting kids play smartly and thrillingly. With lush forests and abundant water sources, this place is truly a paradise for plants and animals. Limutai preserves its pristine forest ecosystem intact, quietly nurturing over 1,000 plant species—many of which are endangered and rare. What do these legendary rare species really look like? What makes them so special? From July 20 to 31, a plant‑matching event will guide you to discover the mysterious species hidden within Limutai’s woods. Find them all correctly, and you’ll receive a gift. Limutai, home to numerous rare species, boasts the only living water resource landscape in the Beijing–Tianjin region. Hundreds of natural pools, ponds, and waterfalls are scattered throughout the mountains and forests. In midsummer, with plentiful rains and flowing streams, spots like Taiping Pool, Leopard Pond, and Huangla Waterfall become playgrounds for children, their joyful laughter echoing across the valley. Add a few water guns, and a “mountain‑forest CS battle” can officially begin… From July 20 to August 20, the first 200 children entering the scenic area each day will receive a free water gun. Stepping into Limutai during the height of summer feels like entering a kingdom of water—and also like opening a stone‑carved chronicle of time, where every page exudes mystery. Names like “Heavenly Crack” and “Five‑Finger Mountain” alone spark curiosity. To satisfy visitors’ desire to explore hidden wonders, from August 1 to 10, the scenic area will host a mountain riddle contest. Riddles are sealed inside dreamlike bottles; once visitors decipher the clue, they can claim the bottle and reveal their answer to the prize attendant. Correct guesses earn prizes. Within Limutai’s mysterious “stone chronicle,” there’s a place called Stone Sea. At first glance, it looks like just a pile of ordinary stones, but it holds secrets beneath. Legend has it that Sun Dianying, the notorious bandit of the Eastern Mausoleum, secretly hid part of his stolen treasure here, drawing many treasure hunters over the years. This deep mountain forest truly is an ideal hiding spot. From August 21 to 31, Limutai will launch a deep‑mountain treasure‑hunt event, inviting participants to experience the thrill of real‑life treasure hunting—challenging both mind and eyes while returning home with a full haul.
