Limei Terrace will close its gates on November 16, entering a fire-prevention and forest‑nurturing period in preparation for next year. As late autumn draws to a close and winter approaches, the Limei Terrace Scenic Area in Jixian County has issued an announcement: the area will officially close on November 16, beginning a fire‑prevention and forest‑nurturing phase, with reopening scheduled for March 15 next year. Visitors are kindly requested to share this information with one another. In 2015, Limei Terrace welcomed over 500,000 visitors, setting a new all-time record. Tourists from the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region have increasingly come to admire and praise this picturesque “Northern Jiuzhaigou,” renowned for its stunning mountains and clear waters. This year, the scenic area’s newly constructed service center was officially completed and put into operation, effectively addressing longstanding issues of parking shortages and road congestion. As a result, visitors’ leisure and shopping experiences have reached a higher standard. Whether during ordinary days or peak tourist seasons when crowds surge, the site can smoothly accommodate and manage visitor flows, propelling its development to even greater heights. Nestled quietly in the deep mountains of Jixian County, Limei Terrace is truly an ideal destination for short family outings from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. During its three open seasons, the area showcases distinct and captivating scenery—each season offering its own unique charm. A single visit simply cannot fully capture the beauty that awaits here. In spring, Limei Terrace lives up to visitors’ descriptions: pear blossoms bloom like clouds, apricot flowers fall like rain, and wildflowers everywhere dazzle the eye. Vibrant red azaleas further paint the hillsides, creating a scene so enchanting that, surrounded by birdsong and fragrant blooms, it feels less like a peach orchard and more like a true utopia. In summer, Limei Terrace offers the purest mountain air, the freshest greenery, and the most soothing sounds of mountain streams—quietly welcoming friends old and new from far and wide to enjoy relaxing, cool moments together. As deep autumn arrives, stepping into Limei Terrace, amid towering mountains, one witnesses a dazzling display of colorful foliage—a riot of hues that seems almost as if someone had overturned a palette of paints, scattering shades of orange, yellow, deep red, and crimson across the slopes. Amidst these overlapping reds and emerald greens, the entire landscape seems to take on a majestic splendor. The Limei Terrace Scenic Area is both a National Geopark and a National Forest Park. During the winter and spring months, it observes a forest‑fire prevention season. To safeguard its rich forest ecosystems, the area closes from mid-November through mid-March each year for a period of forest‑nurturing rest. After nearly four months of rejuvenation, we can be confident that Limei Terrace will greet visitors in even finer form. Let us look forward to next year’s exciting offerings!
